The Lost Rites of Ecstatic Grief

AG Derwen has been running monthly webinars exploring the edges of the wilderness annually since 2020; last year the Lament of the 13 Moons charted the Rites of Passage through lament. For 2026 you are cordially invited to join AG Derwen as they explore the factors and conditions that lead to grief being Ecstatic. We will be exploring the most unexplored aspects of the phenomena of loss and longing; looking for woymarkers and signposts from the ancestors for how Grief could be so much more to us culturally than simply a sad and sorry affair. Alexandra's work focusses on the Collective and Systemic needs of our communities and the cross weaving, cultural and liminal threads that are required to re-weave true Community. Guided and led by Alexandra initially, these circles are non-hierarchical in status and power; all who attend are considered to be peers and equals. A note for those in Bereavement: If you are experiencing loss and longing at this time OF COURSE you are welcome AND you will need to retain responsibility for your personal process and emotional wellbeing, take responsibility for ensuring you have systems of support in place and please do not see these webinars as a panacea for all your needs. They will be held lightly, lovingly and with care; they may feel deeply therapeutic at times and yet they are not intended to be "therapy" and are not a substitute for counselling, therapy or other modalities of one to one support. Alexandra cannot take additional responsibility outwith the scope of the webinars for supporting you. By signing up you are agreeing to this balance of responsibility.
